Dig deep. Why are they fearful?
- Fear of losing money! This is obvious but you as an agent must be able to address this.
- Fear of buying / investing in the wrong property.
- Fear of not being able to service mortgage and losing home.
- Fear of property prices going down.
- Fear of leaving a comfortable zone to enter an uncomfortable zone (servicing a large loan)
- Fear of losing job and unable to service loan
There are many other reasons that you can think of but these are the major pain points that stops people from taking action to contact you.
Dig deeper again. There is another side to this fear.
They also have dreams and goals. They need to be driven by promise of a brighter future.
- Better lifestyle for their family
- The accompanying prestige of staying in a private property address
- Securing retirement for their future through a wise property investment
- The promise of cashflow from rental units that pay for the monthly mortgage
- The idea of being able to own a property without tapping on cash savings
